First Nations
At JRCC, we work with our First Nation clients, not just for them. Project teams include client representatives who are consulted on all major design decisions, ensuring projects meet the needs of those who will operate and maintain them.
We involve the entire Project Team, including local community representatives, to tailor designs to the site and its environment. First Nation committees and organizations are encouraged to participate directly in the process.
Our approach respects and incorporates First Nation views, traditions, and concerns. Project specifications support community involvement and local economic opportunities, including policies on local labour, equipment, and person-hours, as well as respect for traditional holidays.
We aim to build strong, lasting relationships with all our First Nation clients.
Land Acknowledgement
JR Cousin Consultants acknowledges that our work takes place on the ancestral lands of
Indigenous Peoples across Manitoba and southern Ontario, including Treaty and non-ceded
territories and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. We recognize the enduring
relationship Indigenous Nations have with these lands and the importance of working
respectfully within the communities we serve.
