Fisher River Cree Nation – West Road Upgrade PhaseTwo

Fisher River Cree Nation was in need of a road upgrade to the existing community road situated west of PR 224, known as West Road.  Upgrade works were completed on both sides of the West Road bridge that crosses the Fisher River.

The 2.6 km stretch of West Road was re-graded; geotextile and granular material were added prior to compaction. The road surface was treated and sealed with chip seal bituminous material. Drainage was improved by re-grading and seeding the ditch along the road, replacing culverts through the road and culverts across driveway approaches.
