Town Of Snow Lake – Water And Sewer Infrastructure Renewal Phase Three

JRCC was retained by MWSB to provide engineering services for the water distribution system and the sewage collection system renewal works in the Town of Snow Lake. Services included design and tender administration, resident and non-resident, and warranty services. Renewal works were conducted over two years.

The project involved the replacement of 1,682 m of watermain which required renewal due to advanced age and frequent breaks. As there were capacity issues in some areas, JRCC reviewed options for increasing pipe sizes to improve flow and pressure. All service lines and curbstops were replaced up to the property line and reconnected to existing property lines.

As there were no capacity issues with the sewermains, pipe sizes were matched to existing. Sewermain renewal involved 1,644 m of piping over eleven streets and back lanes in the community.

Community notices, temporary services and strategic staging minimized the impact on community residents and businesses.
